Kensington Coastal Point is located on the east coast of
Vancouver Island . The proposed development site is
bordered by Baynes Sound and the Strait of Georgia and
is situated in the Comox Valley at Union Bay, BC . Union
Bay is located approximately 175km (109 miles) northwest
of Victoria, BC; 15km (9 miles) south of Courtenay, BC and
98km (61 miles) north of Nanaimo, BC.

 

 

The Kensington Coastal Point property holdings are
located on both sides of Highway 19A (the Old Island Highway)
and extend south from Herondale Road to McLeod Road. The
342 hectare development site extends from Argyle Road

Recreational Opportunities

 

Kensington Coastal Point and surrounding areas offer a range of recreational opportunities including
golf, boating, scuba diving, kayaking, water-skiing, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, camping and skiing.
Some neighbouring recreational areas include Strathcona Provincial Park, Sandy Island Provincial Marine Park, Forbidden Plateau, Mt. Washington Alpine Resort, and Comox Lake.

Air

 

The Comox Valley Airport in Comox, BC, is located approximately 22 km (14 miles) north of Union Bay. This airport accepts flights from a variety of smaller airlines including Central Mountain Air, Pacific Coastal, West Jet, and Transat Holidays. This airport offers services from
Budget and National car rental companies.

 

The Nanaimo Airport is located 116 km (72 miles) south of Union Bay in Nanaimo , BC . From this airport, Jazz Air Inc. flies to and from the Vancouver International Airport , and connects with Air Canada flights. The Nanaimo Airport has three car rental companies (Budget, National Tilden and Hertz) and an RV rental company, Arbutus RV.

 

The Courtenay Airpark is located approximately 22km
(14 miles) north of Union Bay . This airport accepts
charter and private aircraft including float planes. There
